A really huge thank you to Kerry and the team at Reading Borough Council for all their support!
They completed a fundraiser for Christmas with various events including raffles, bake sale and various fun activities.
Over £2000 was raised and delegated to 3 nominated charities - we are delighted to be one of these!
The team also supplied boxes of essential toiletries and pantry items. Furthermore we were blown away with the most amazing and generous donation of tents and gloves - absolutely essential especially at this time of the year. We actually were able to give out some gloves straight away when collected to those on Reading's streets.
These items were collected from @gooutdoors who were so interested in New Beginnings and have pledged 15% off bulk orders for us in the future!
The support from RBC and local businesses to support those who most need our help is truly inspiring!

This afternoon flowers were laid at the site opposite us where tragically our guest Kepha Otubdo passed away.
These flowers are from all at New Beginnings - volunteers and guests alike.
Our thoughts and wishes are with Kepha's family and friends at this very sad time 💔❤️🩹💐

New Beginnings was sucessful in winning a Collinson Community Grant, after being nominated by a team member.
Their generous donation has helped us to kit out our kitchen with some much-needed new equipment – including a hot plate, warming cupboard, and a brand new oven 🙌🏻

Trevor manages @theskangsters - a ska/soul/two tone group who celebrated their 30th anniversary at the Grosvenor Casino in Reading last week.
A handful of tickets were kindly donated by those who couldn't make the event to be auctioned on our behalf. This donation of just over £200 will make a massive difference to our guests! Thank you so much - we are all very grateful! ☺️ 🙏
