β Every other Saturday we'll be serving up hot breakfast rolls and providing a friendly space for people experiencing homelessness in Reading. Our doors are open and the kettle is on.
It's a chance to share a meal and a chat. We believe that a small act of kindness can make a huge difference.

We Need You!
New Beginnings Reading is looking for regular volunteers to help us support those facing homelessness and hardship in our local community.
If you can offer empathy, kindness, and a few hours of your time, you could make a real difference. From helping to distribute food or serving in our All Day Cafe, to offering a listening ear and supporting people towards independent living — your time can change lives.
Join us in bringing hope and dignity to those who need it most.
We are holding an open morning at New Beginnings on Saturday 27th September from 10am to midday and would be delighted to show you around and answer any questions.
Or you are welcome to message any time at karen@newbeginningsreading.org
Many thanks! ππ
New Beginnings Reading is opening our doors for a trial of a brand-new Breakfast Service.
The new service will run on alternate Saturdays up until Christmas.
This isn’t just about food; It’s about connection. A warm meal shared at a table can restore dignity, ease loneliness, and remind people that they belong to a community that cares.
But we can’t do it alone. Here’s how you can be part of this new service:
Volunteer on a Saturday mornings
Donate so more people can access food and community
Spread the word so more people know support is here when life gets tough
Together, we can help people in Reading with a new beginning to their weekend.
Learn more via the link in our bio.
